Call Linda Fuller if you are not sure the name of your deacon.  You are also welcome to talk with any of the deacons about your needs or concerns.

Deacons Report

We will be meeting the first Tuesday of every other month for  training purposes.

Goals

To continue to provide opportunities for baptism, anointing, communion services, love feasts, and membership classes.

To continue to serve the congregation with members & those who attend services regularly, having a team of deacons assigned as their shepherds. A list of all deacons will be posted and given to all. This list will be presented as a laminated book marker with names and phone numbers of all deacons. If a need arises, an individual may choose any deacon with whom he/she feels comfortable talking.

To have regular training sessions

To continue with an emergency fund to assist those in need. There will be fund disbursement guidelines.

To have a list of resources available for deacons to use to inform persons with various needs.

To work with the Witness Commission to continue the monthly free meal program. Included with this is to provide 10 boxes of groceries for needy families, including some in our congregation.

To attempt to follow I Timothy 4:12b, "Setting an example for believers in speech, in life in love, in faith, and in purity."

Please feel fee to call upon one of the deacons if you have any questions about the church, its ordinances such as baptism, anointing, membership, financial needs, loneliness, grieving, etc.

We are here to serve you. We want you to be LAFIYA, which means to be whole physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We are your family as we are all children of God. Finally we have been commissioned by you, for you.

Linda Fuller, Chair.
